Session One of Eight @ Marion & Nth  Adelaide.
The Social Road to  Sustainability

Considering  the accelerating urgency of ecological sustainability, recently  described by Victorian State Governor Prof David De Kretser as “an  emergency”, and considering that all of the answers are out there and considering also that there is still so much low hanging fruit ...  unpicked  ... there was agreement that doing what we can at the  local, social level to organise for and inspire our friends and neighbours is a rich and satisfying row to  hoe.

The NRM Sustainability Street Villages of South Australia are:  Marion City Council @ Edwardstown, Adelaide City Council @ Garden East  Apartments and in North Adelaide, as well as Sustainable Communities –  Norwood, Payneham and St Peters

The DIY SSA Pioneered by Cities of Randwick, Waverly, Woolahara Rouse Hill, Winston Hills as well as The City of Whitehorse and Hobsons Bay in Melbourne is described in the Prospectus, see to the left, near the How Heading, to download.  It all starts with a Sustainability Street Train the Mentor course open to council officers and community alike.  Below, the historic, first ever TTM introduced by Skype --- thanks to the Clovelly Child Care Centre Sustainability St Village --- & Cities of Randwick, Waverly and Woollahara in East Sydney.
Below, the Clovelly Villagers at the other end of the "Cyber Skype Workshop".  Like wow baby!
