When you calculate your ecological - footprint, it reveals how many planet Earths would be required if everybody in the world shared our levels of consumption we have in the wealthy, western world.  Here in Victoria particularly, our lifestyle and levels of consumption mean that we would need three extra planet earths, primarily due to the abject inefficiency of brown coal as an energy source. We Victorians have just about the biggest impact on nature, per capita, than anybody else in the world.
